How to check your EPF balance – Employee Provident Fund Balance Online

EPF or Employees Provident Fund of India has set up an online service to track employee’s EPF account balance with the help of employee provident Fund or EPF Account Number. Only thing you are required to know is the;

  • Employee Provident Fund or EPF Account Number and
  • Provident Fund Office location where your employer maintain EPF Account

In this article we will let you know how to check your EPF balance online without any assistance. We urge you to follow our following steps to check your EPF balance.

In the first step you have to visit http://www.epfindia.gov.in/

Then as shown below click on “Know Your EPF Balance” option which is available on the middle of the screen.

Then on the below center of your screen you will have a option for “Click here  to know the balance”. Now Click on that

In case you are not able to find the correct path then click on this link.

Now select the state where your employer’s registered office is situated. For example: If you are working in infosys then the registered office of the company is in Bangalore. So you should select Karnataka as your state.

This means you need to first find out in which EPF office your accounts are maintained. Generally its maintained in that state where the company has its registered office.

List of code with region name, region code, office code and office name will be generated. Then click on the correct office name where your company maintain it’s EPF accounts.

If you are not able to find the correct one then you can go by the region name option to find out your EPF office name. This can be found out by the exact location of your employer’s office. Now click on the office name

It will ask you for your Employee Provident Fund or EPF Account Number. Enter your Employee provident fund or EPF account number and then put the name as it is registered with the Provident fund department and finally enter your mobile number to get your EPF account balance through SMS.

Accept the terms and condition as shown on the screen and click on submits button to get SMS of your EPF balance.

Now you know how to check your EPF account balance online. If you don’t know your EPF account number then check your payslip or else contact your employer to get the Employee provident fund or EPF account number.

    Iwas working as asalesman,and I gave my resignation in october 10/2015 but still now ididn’t recieve any informatiom about the p.f form fillup?so please suggest me what can ido…even iasked to my manager they told me nextyear january/2016 but most of my friend they stopped ther job without any resignt.but they give p.f form fill up again.y for me?
